Diploma in Early Childhood Education

Rare opportunity for a permanent part-time position at Baulkham Hills Preschool Kindergarten. We are seeking a mature and passionate Early Childhood Educator 2 days per week (Mon/Tues) commencing from Term One 2025,  with opportunities for additonal casual relief work on other days.

The Role:

Working in a team with well-qualified and experienced early childhood teachers and educators, your role and responsibilities will be to work collaboratively to plan for and provide a rich and rewarding learning program in a happy and stimulating learning environment that is responsive to children's ideas, interests, strengths and abilities. Essential Selection Criteria:

• Must have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (ACECQA approved)
• Current First Aid Certificate / Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate (ACECQA approved)
• Clearance to work with children as required under the NSW Working With Children Check
• Willing to be Responsible Person as required
• Child Protection Qualification (ACECQA approved)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team work and Leadership qualities
• The ability to inspire, motivate and maintain an positive learning culture within the Preschool for children, families and colleagues.
• Ability to relate to people from a wide range of socio-economic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds
• Committed to reflective, strengths-based and inclusive practices
• Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety and Child Protection matters,  and their implementation in an Early Childhood setting
• Practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework, Quality Improvement Plan,  and the Early Learning Years Framework
• Contemporary knowledge of pedagogy
• Experience working in Early Childhood learning environments will be highly regarded.
