About the Service

ECTARC Alunga is a 44-place service providing early childhood education and care for children from birth to school age in Albion Park Rail.  

The service practices the Circle of Security relationships model to develop partnerships with children and families based on mutual trust and respect.  They are committed to quality outcomes for children and advocate for learning through play in an environment where they feel safe, valued and included.  Educators work collaboratively to implement teaching strategies that are responsive to children’s learning, development and wellbeing. 

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate and innovative Director to lead a team who is committed to providing the best possible outcomes for young children. This role requires a leader who can establish and nurture strong relationships with the team, children and their families and the wider community including Aboriginal Elders, schools, other early childhood and family organisations. 

You will be supported by an experienced Early Childhood Coordinator and a network of Management and Directors. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work alongside intervention specialist to support and nurture children’s learning and development. 

Essential Criteria: 

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • NESA Early Childhood Teacher Accreditation
  • A Working with Children Check clearance number 
  • Current approved first aid qualification for early education and care HLTAID004 
  • Completed an approved child protection Statement of Attainment 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in early childhood 
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake the role of Nominated Supervisor 
  • Demonstrated professional level of written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to lead and manage a successful team 
    Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current early childhood theories and practice & children’s services legislation 
  • Demonstrated high level of ethical and professional behaviour including collaboration & confidentiality 
  • A commitment to practicing ECTARC values everyday 
  • Strong commitment to your own professional learning
