Excellence in Care family day care service provides excellence in early childhood education and care by supporting and guiding our educators.

Established in 2011, Excellence in Care (EIC) is proud to be rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS). Based in Camira, QLD, we support educators across South-East Queensland, providing exceptional services to ensure they thrive in their roles and deliver outstanding care.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coordinator to join our team and provide ongoing support to our valued educators.

The Role:

As a Coordinator, you will play a vital role in assisting and guiding our educators. You will ensure they have the tools, resources, and support required to deliver high-quality care. This position is ideal for someone who is organised, passionate, and committed to building strong, positive relationships with our educators.

What We Offer:

  • Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $36.50 per hour (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award [MA000100])

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Provide ongoing support and coordination for educators through regular home visits
  • Travel to educators’ residence and the administration office in Camira
  • Maintain consistent communication and build positive relationships with educators and team members
  • Assist with administrative tasks and educator-related needs
  • Ensure educators understand and adhere to the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
  • Ensure families receive a quality childcare service through the development and implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Ensure educators receive professional and personal support in their role as childcare providers in accordance to their needs and experience
  • Ensure Children in care are experiencing an environment which is emotionally, socially, cognitively and physically stimulating, and meets their individual developmental needs

Applicants will be required to demonstrate the following experience, capabilities, knowledge & skills:

  • Ability to mentor home-based educators
  • Sound Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Childhood Education and Care Legislation and Regulations
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to promote and represent the service within the community
  • Ability to relate effectively to educators, children and their families
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with systems such as HubWorks & FDSEE advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or the education/care sector (highly regarded)

Successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood & Education (or equivalent)
  • Positive Notice Blue Card
  • Recent Police Check within the last 6 months or willing to obtain one
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (HLTAIDO12)
  • Child Protection Certificate (CHCPRT001)
  • Responsible Person Acceptance
  • Full Drivers License
  • Reliable Car
