Early Childhood Teacher

We are a community based not-for-profit Long Day Care Centre looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher to develop programs and practices that are responsive to our children’s needs and aligned with the National Quality Framework and the National Quality Standard.

The successful applicant must:

*Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification ACECQA (approved)

*Current First Aid qualification

* Ochre Card (Working with Children Card).

* National Police Check

* Work minimum 30 hours a week (negotiable) – Monday to Friday

* Be responsible in designing, planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating age-appropriate educational programs and practices, which reflect the emerging skills, interests and developmental requirements of children including following and implementing ACECQA approved learning framework.

*  Providing developmental progress reports as required.

* An excellent understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard

* An excellent communication skills.

* Leading and supporting the wellbeing, holistic learning and development of children.

* Providing pedagogical leadership.

* Coaching, mentoring and supervising staff.

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, families and communities.

Previous experience in implementing a kindy program and EYLF knowledge as well as the ability to work as part of a team is preferred.
